home sick

After two days of fighting a head cold and sneezing and coughing I decided to work from home today and try to recover. I don't know understand how anyone can get a head cold with 100 degree weather, but apparently I did.  I've been drinking lots of tea, water and taking cold meds every
4-6 hours depending on the instructions but nothing is seeming to shake this.  Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to shake a cold?

I'm Officially Late 20's

Happy Birthday to me! Today I turn 26. I spent a majority of my weekend with friends and family celebrating so today isn't really that special other than it is my day of birth.

Above is a picture my dad took after I was a few weeks old. I was an extremely UGLY baby as I found going through some old photos over the weekend. Luckily I got cuter with time. :)

Have a fantastic Monday everyone!

EXCUSE THE MESS!

Happy Sunday everyone!

I'm playing with the layout of the blog this morning and trying to give Lipgloss and Bows a face lift.

If you see pictures out of place and colors out of wack that is why.  It should be all fixed by Monday, July 9th.

Have a fantastic day and be sure to check out the new look tomorrow. :)

I'm engaged!

This past Saturday Andy had quite a surprise for me. He proposed! :)

He knew he wanted to keep me from thinking it was coming so he tried to keep me off my game and pick a time I would least expect it which he did. I was lounging on the couch checking out blogs when Andy came back from picking up a friend from the airport. He grabbed Lincoln our Morkie and said he was taking him for a walk. This was nothing out of the ordinary as Lincoln and Andy go for about 10 walks a day.  After their "walk" Andy was urging Lincoln to come visit me on the couch, Lincoln wouldn't cooperate and wanted to play so he ran int he opposite direction (he wanted to keep Andy on his toes.) At this point i'm still reading blogs not paying attention.  Andy then grabs Lincoln and brings him over to me trying to show off a brand new bow tie and new Id tag he had put on Lincoln. As I start to read the id tag, Andy got down on one knee and proposed.  I obviously said yes. :)

The ring is extremely special to me as the main diamond in the middle was my mom's that she received from my Dad when I was born.  My mom passed away 12 years ago next week, so since her passing I've always have known I wanted her diamond to be incorporated into my engagement ring which I'm so happy I did.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!
